Having lived in the Eastern United States most of my life I wanted a PCT trail book to help with the planning of my PCT hike. This book was more than what I expected. It is carefully organized and includes information on the history of the trail and the regions, the flora and fauna, and tips and suggestions for resupply points.If you are looking strictly for a lightweight trail data book than this isn't it. If you enjoy history, science, nature, and want suggestions on recommended resupply points than this is the book for you. I LOVE this book because of the interesting historical and geological information. As someone who has always wanted to hike the entire PCT but more than likely won't...it's very helpful to have sections I can tackle, be it day hikes or multi-day through hikes that are right here in my home state of Washington. It is wonderful to know what kind of gear to need, the best months, what to expect regarding snow, etc. THANK YOU for writing this book. I will wear it out, I'm sure.
